A native of Southern California, Jack played Division III Tennis at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Religion, inspired by a six-month study abroad in India focused on Yoga and Tibetan Buddhism practices. After returning to Orange County, he coached high school tennis at El Dorado and Villa Park. He then relocated to Northern California to serve as the head tennis coach at UCSC. Jack came to La Madrona Athletic Club, to continue his education to become a certified Personal Trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Jack teaches a variety of fitness disciplines, including Animal Flow, Plyometrics and unlocking the healing power of strength training to overcome trauma, Jack continues his love of tennis and provides tennis lessons, clinics and instruction - when training athletes the focus is on agility, speed, and quickness drills. When off the courts and out of the gym, Coach Jack enjoys his time listening to and playing music, surfing the beautiful variety of breaks in Santa Cruz, hiking, gardening, and spending quality time with friends and family.
