Aquatics Programing and Weather

As we begin to enter the cooler months of the year, we understand weather can be a concern. Our Aquatics Office during this time of year watches the local area forecast very closely, even down to the hourly predictions. If the weather poses a safety hazard to conducting programs, we will arrange the cancellations and will do so as soon as possible.

Generally speaking, rain, even heavy rain, does not pose a problem for aquatic programming (swim lessons, Parent/Me, Intro, Swim Team, etc). Since the participants are already in the pool and getting wet. Our pools are heated to maintain a constant temperature year round. Swimming in the rain can be a magical experience. The feel of raindrops can be wonderful and the sound of rain underwater is so cool.
