Welcome Jimmy Soper!
We're excited to announce that Jimmy Soper will be joining us at La Madrona as the Head Tennis Professional beginning this summer. He is the current head coach of the UCSC men's tennis team and will be working at La Madrona intermittently beginning next week. This spring, you'll see him around the club helping with our junior programs, teaching private lessons, and leading clinics. When you see him, say hi!
Stay tuned for a more formal introduction of him and what he is excited to accomplish here.
Survey Says… Lap Pool Reservations & Outdoor Fitness Offerings
Thank you to the many that completed our pool and outdoor fitness survey.
There was an overwhelming majority in wanting to keep pool reservations versus not having any at all!
We will move to a hybrid model where lanes 1 & 2 will continue to be reservation based and lanes 3 & 4 will go back to being drop in.
Lap lane reservation policies will continue along with $10 no show fees being charged for reservations missed or canceled prior to one hour start time.
Lanes 3 & 4 will be expected to be used as shared lanes. Please see information regarding split lane and circle swimming education. Lane 4 will be considered the "faster" speed lane.

Outdoor Fitness Update
The survey showed strong preference to keep as much fitness equipment outside as possible. We will continue to keep the tent up in the social area between the pools with as much cardio equipment outside as space allows. We are hoping to turn the tent so that the fire fit will be available for use again. Stay tuned!
The tent on court 1 is coming down. It will be resurfaced/repainted and will include lines for four pickleball courts. We will have portable pickleball nets that can be wheeled in and out of place depending on the time of day and ball machine/tennis use.
Thank you again to all those that submitted survey feedback. It was very helpful in being able to decide what to do moving forward with our outdoor offerings.
NEW Exciting Fitness Offering- Theraguns!
We are receiving a set of Therabody products. Included will be 6 Theragun Pros and 4 wave rollers!
Theraguns, provides targeted deep muscle treatment to increase blood flow, reduce tension, improve movement, maximize recovery, and optimize sleep.
